Re: London Terror Attack

The Islamic Association of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) unequivocally condemns in the strongest possible terms the barbaric, cowardly, and criminal attack in London on June 3, 2017, which left several people dead, including one Canadian, and injured many more. Our thoughts and prayers are with the deceased, their families and loved ones who now mourn their loss, and all the survivors who are left to deal with their suffering.  We stand together in solidarity with all victims of terrorism wherever they may be and against those, without exception, who carry out such despicable acts.

The Holy Qur'an, and the practice of our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), expressly prohibits any killing of innocent people and attacks upon civilians.  Those who carry out such heinous crimes of terror do so with depraved indifference to our common humanity.  Their odious actions are bereft of any moral or religious justification whatsoever and contrary to the sacred teachings of Islam. Terrorists seek to cause death, suffering, hatred, animosity, and division. Terrorists will fail.  We stand in unity with all those who wish to make a better, inclusive, and more compassionate and loving world where all humanity, in all of its diversity, may flourish through harmonious and peaceful relations based on mutual respect, acceptance, and justice.
