Muslim Communications and Outreach Committee (MCOC)

In response to the significant growth of the Muslim community in Saskatoon, the IAS Board of Directors established the MCOC in March 2010. The MCOC membership consists of a chair and a few  non-board members of the IAS, with one IAS board member as an ex-officio of the MCOC. The MCOC is the external affairs wing of the IAS that deals with the public, the media, governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as the national Muslim organizations.

The MCOC held the following functions/activities:

- Participated in the Peace Coalition protest gainst the Israeli attack on the Gaza flotilla in the international water.
